2016 Creature Design Exercise

A creature with elements taken from a crocodile/alligator, cockatoo, a fiord land penguin, and canine (specifically looked at the husky breeds of sled dogs). This creature, known as Hail Crocatoos survives in colder climate and is domesticated. Like a cockatoo, it displays its various emotions at the tip of its head. Their diet consists of mainly fish, but they are omnivores. The Hail Crocatoos live alongside humans as pets, though can be used for labor work, such as pulling heavy cargo. Despite the Hail Crocatoos intimidating appearance, they have the tendency to be energetic, docile, and friendly; because of this, Hail Crocatoos do not make the best guard/watch animals. However, Hail Crocatoos have excellent swimming capabilities which sailors use to aid in rescuing people falling overboard or travelers lost at sea.

  1. Definitely not a creature I would want to run into. I think it blends the different animals nicely and is believable as a new creature all together.
