Screwtape Feature

Story chosen: “The Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis

Screwtape characters:

Wormwood: scrawny, shy, and not the brightest. He tries hard to live up to his uncle Screwtape’s expectation on being evil, however he fails quite often. Not the best demon to his kind, though Wormwood’s persistence is what makes Screwtape see potential in his nephew.

Screwtape: Sly, devilish, short-tempered, brutish, and blunt. He tends to yell at his nephew when he fails, but he tries to persuade him on what he could’ve done when it comes to his failures. He cares about his nephew, though he believes hard-love is the best way to raise him.

Artist influences: Disney’s Hercules, Don Bluth, and Milt Kahl.

Media: 2D animation

  1. The posing of the Characters are great, you can really read the personality of each characters. The hands of the characters are very similar though, maybe varying the claw/hoof shape. However I do not feel like it has any major issues.
