2016 Final: Defend Your Castle (game concept & designs)

Defend your castle concept:

Choose a critter from a bunch of others to aid in defending your castle! As you progress, you can obtain more critters to assist in defending your castle from stronger enemies. Fear not though! The more experience you gain defending your castle, your critters do too! Level them up and make them stronger to take on any foes! Be warned though, there’s much too protect: the treasures in your throne room, the captured units in the dungeons, the secrets you hold in your castle’s library, the trenches of your moats, the expanse hallways of your castle, and much more!

Every decision is crucial which can determine either failure or victory in defending your castle! But fear not though, for you have strong, loyal ally critters at your side!

Critter 1: Throne Dragon - very clingy at the beginning, but is a wonderful protector when it comes to your treasures! All the little dragon needs is some encouragement. Once doing so, you'll be glad you did! The Throne Dragon will defend your treasures with its fearsome elemental breath (ranging from fire, to ice, and thunder) and it's mighty tail and claws! The Throne Dragon is best known for its striking endurance!

Critter 2: Ghost-possessed Armor - known for protecting your castle's hallways. Extremely shy, but loyal! Has a knack for not being the best at sneaking around since of the clanging of its armor. Don't let that put you off though! This feisty little spirit isn't afraid to stomp out its enemies in battle with either its boot or axe. The Ghost-possessed Armor is best known for its remarkable defense!

Critter 3: Moater-mouth-gator - this little gator has the tendency to get distracted easily. The Moater-mouth-gator is the most playful out of the critter bunch and easily the most gluttonous. Regardless of its flaws, this gator is swifter in the water than it is on land. Watch as this gator can take out multiple foes with ease! the Moater-mouth-gator is known for its amazing speed!

Critter 4: Macetaur - this Minotaur born for a mace with a tail should not be taken lightly. It is known for having a short temper with those it does not like. Fear not though, for this Macetaur does have a soft side for those it likes! The Macetaur swings its mace-tail as it defends your dungeon from enemies as well as using it to capture enemies who dare trespass into your castle. The Macetaur is known best for its great strength!

Critter 5: Were-Lore - The Were-Lore is a lycanthrope with a burning curiosity. It yearns this curiosity by defending the secrets you gain in your castle's library. This book-worm lupine unlike the other critters uses its sharp intellect as its choice of weapon to aid in defending your castle. By doing so, this critter can use all sorts of magic spells to aid you and your castle from the enemy threat! This critter's spells can range from white magic (healing), black magic (reducing enemy stats or causing status damage), or elemental magic (damaging magic). The Were-Lore is best known for its extraordinary special attack and special defense!

Type of stats in game: Hit Points (HP), Strength (Str), Defense (Def), Special Attack (SpA), Special Defense (SpD), and Speed (Spe)

2016 Creature Design Exercise

A creature with elements taken from a crocodile/alligator, cockatoo, a fiord land penguin, and canine (specifically looked at the husky breeds of sled dogs). This creature, known as Hail Crocatoos survives in colder climate and is domesticated. Like a cockatoo, it displays its various emotions at the tip of its head. Their diet consists of mainly fish, but they are omnivores. The Hail Crocatoos live alongside humans as pets, though can be used for labor work, such as pulling heavy cargo. Despite the Hail Crocatoos intimidating appearance, they have the tendency to be energetic, docile, and friendly; because of this, Hail Crocatoos do not make the best guard/watch animals. However, Hail Crocatoos have excellent swimming capabilities which sailors use to aid in rescuing people falling overboard or travelers lost at sea.

2016 Sherlock Video Game concepts and designs

Sherlock game characters: Sherlock, the clever female detective and Wattson the T-rex. Sherlock uses her pipe which can collapse, fold, and transform into a magnifying glass and a rapier. Sherlock uses her quick whit to get out of whatever situation she's in or her swift speed in battle; Wattson on the other hand uses his brute strength instead in battle. He's accompanied by his monocle as a scouter to analyze his surrounds and also uses taser-brass-knuckles when in battle.

Character designs copyright to Eythan G. Taneyhill as of 2016, original characters of Sherlock and Wattson belong to their respective owners.

Wormwood: scrawny, shy, and not the brightest. He tries hard to live up to his uncle Screwtape’s expectation on being evil, however he fails quite often. Not the best demon to his kind, though Wormwood’s persistence is what makes Screwtape see potential in his nephew.

Screwtape: Sly, devilish, short-tempered, brutish, and blunt. He tends to yell at his nephew when he fails, but he tries to persuade him on what he could’ve done when it comes to his failures. He cares about his nephew, though he believes hard-love is the best way to raise him.
